DIYDC are a two man formation, recently expanded to 3, playing
live, and mixing styles which break the boundries of almost any genre of music
ever concieved. From the gloomy depths of cellars and practice rooms to the ever
changing serenity and exitement of studio suites, Carsten, Rick and Stefan have
developed techniques and styles to bring audiences the very best of electronic
music in a irresistable, hands-on against the wall way.
Through countless gigs with live guests and cutting comments and songs we have
redefined the imaginary borders of live music for those lucky enough to be present
at our gigs. We have transformed raincoat cladden gawping geeks into dancing,
smiling sweating clubbers within minutes of a set, by simply letting the music
do the talking. Audiences become captivated, and I can always see the amusement/amazement
in their faces, as they ask themselves
"how do they do that?".
Wev'e done it!
After decades long practicing, Jamming with the wierdest of people in dark,
dungy, muffling cellars,
wev'e finaly got it. Using the methods the modern technique offers it has been
made possible
to reconstruct strangely mutated audio fragments once again.
For this reason we have decided to no longer release drum 'n' bass or jungle
songs ove 170bpm.
Accoustic guitars were unpacked (Carsten even got a new one!) and decent, cultured
lyrics
written by Rick, master of the english-spoken thoughts.

Geschafft, nach jahrzehnte langem Proben, Jammen mit den merkwürdigsten
Leuten in dunklen miefigen Kellern haben wir es geschafft. Mit den Mitteln der
heutigen Technik war es uns möglich seltene verstümmelte Fragmente
wieder zu rekonstruieren. Deshalb haben wir uns entschieden kein Drum and Bass
oder Junglessong über 170 bpm zu veröffentlichen. Es wurde die Gitarre
ausgepackt und hochliterarische Texte erstellt. Rick, der Meister des englischsprachigen
Gedankenguts hat sich voll ins Zeug gelegt.

technischer Natur, oder auch menschlichen Ursprungs, sein.
The Sleeper tells the story of a man who works in
aA??w? small room alone, then on receiving a telephone call, leaves to begin a
odysee through the town (Tübingen, southern Germany), into the countryside,
across fields, down roads and through forests. He passes a lake, always travelling
upwards until eventually he arrives at a tower set at the edge of a forest,
climbs the steps, and flips a large switch, which swithes the video off.The
sleeper is based on a dream by Rick, and raises questions as to what is he
switched off? What was said in the telephone? What does it mean? Does this
make any sense at all?The Sleeper was produced and performed by D.I.Y. Dubclub,
with Carsten Bauer playing the leading role, Rick Newton as director and researcher,
and with kind help from Sina A. as cameraman. The film was set on location
in and around Tübingen, southern Germany. The music was created and performed
entirely by D.I.Y. Dubclub, as was the video cut. Allfigure and suggested
scenes are fictional, and are not relevant to any person or people of factual
origin.The Slepper contains no political or religiously abusive content, and
is suitiable for viewers of all ages.
